Fast forward to this morning, I'm at the dealership at 9:15 with the expectation that after supplying everything he needed that I would be able to drive off in a new car today. We go on the test drive aand we go into the office and the owner comes out and tells me that my bank statements aren't going to be good enough and I need to fax a letter from my boss verifying my income and employment dates.
Terrible service, vehicles are junk, and way over priced, I bought a blazer off them, internet price was 4995, I put 1300 down, and I'm still end up paying 11000, for a junk vehicle that hasn't run in 5 months, and I've owned it for 12 months day after I got it I was already having problems with it, I dont recommend anybody going there, and already stopped 3 people from making same mistake I made
While I can't say for sure, I've been a Hoosier all my life and I know Martinsville's reputation so I can't shake the feeling that all of that had something to do with why I wasn't able to drive off in a car that I have the money for and supplied all of the necessary information for, especially after I had none of these problems when I got my car at a better dealership 20 miles away right after I left.
Hometown Customs has been servicing my vehicle since we've had it. Very friendly staff and very professional. We recently bought a truck from them and it was painless. I'd highly recommend if you haven't tried them out yet you should. You'll be glad you did.
Well, the sales rep did a solid job of selling me the car I wanted and I was definitely prepared to pay. I talked with the rep over the phone and informed him that I'm a 1099 contractor and as a result would be unable to provide check stubs. He called me back to let me know that was fine and all I would need is six months of bank statements and my down payment.
So I do all that, he has the information he said he needed within an hour and after an hour of "waiting for an email", he gets on the phone and then tells me that the information he specifically instructed me to give him wasn't going to be enough and that despite having double the down payment his website mentioned and jumping through all the extra hoops he wanted me to jump through that he wasn't going to sell me the car.
Bought my car here and two years later still doing great. I also had my maintenance like oil changes here, friendly staff and great prices!
Supposedly fixed my door lock, charged over 200.00 to replace with a reconditioned part that never worked right. Said they were ordering a brand new one and never heard from them again. Door still does not work, but they got over 200.00 for a job not done correctly
